Prologis Acquires Logistics Facility within 5km of Tokyo Station, to be Offered as 'Prologis Urban Park Tokyo Shinonome 1'

Prologis, Inc. (NYSE: PLD), the global leader in logistics real estate, announced today that it has acquired a logistics facility from Yamato Transport Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Seiichi Awa) and will offer it as the urban logistics facility 'Prologis Urban Park Tokyo Shinonome 1' for lease.

'Prologis Urban Park Tokyo Shinonome 1' was a logistics facility operated by Yamato Transport as its own logistics hub, and Prologis acquired it from the company in March 2025. Following the acquisition, it was leased back to Yamato Transport. Upon expiration of the lease term, renovation work will commence in April 2027. The plan is to operate it as a multi-tenant logistics facility available to multiple companies from spring 2028, and applications from interested companies will be accepted.

'Prologis Urban Park Tokyo Shinonome 1' is an existing facility with a site area of approximately 3,500m2, a 5-story building above ground, and a total floor area of approximately 9,300m2, which will be renovated into a multi-tenant logistics facility.

The facility features a low-floor design, with floor loads of 1.5 tons per square meter on the first floor and 1.0 ton per square meter on the second floor and above. It boasts high load-bearing capacity comparable to large, advanced logistics facilities, capable of meeting diverse logistics needs.

It is also equipped with two car lifts that can accommodate 4-ton trucks, doubling as freight elevators, enabling access to each floor by vehicle and efficient cargo handling. In addition, as part of the renovation work, a portion of the rooftop and ground-level exterior parking spaces will be redeveloped to create parking for several dozen vehicles. This will provide an efficient operational environment as a logistics hub in the city center, a rare feature that allows vehicle access both on-site and within the facility.

Furthermore, a comfortable working environment will be established, including all-zone air conditioning for the warehouse areas and office spaces on each floor.

'Prologis Urban Park Tokyo Shinonome 1' will meet the needs of urban logistics, which require both logistics efficiency and labor acquisition, and will contribute to the advancement of customers' supply chains as a strategic logistics hub with easy access to various parts of the city center.
