Actor Koki Yamashita to Make Additional Appearance at Vertical Short Drama Contest 'Mynavi Show Drama Award 2026' Ceremony

The Show Drama Award Executive Committee, operated by Progress Inc. (Location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Toshiya Osada), has announced that actor Koki Yamashita will make an additional guest appearance at the award ceremony for 'Mynavi Show Drama Award 2026', one of Japan's largest vertical short drama contests, to be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. The event is specially sponsored by Mynavi Corporation (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director, President and Executive Officer: Shunsuke Awai). In addition, two new category awards, the 'Material Short Drama PR Award' and the 'Show Tabi Award', have been established.

The Show Drama Award Executive Committee will hold the award ceremony for the third short drama competition, 'Mynavi Show Drama Award 2026' (*application already closed), on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in Tokyo.

In addition to actor Mei Hata and commentator Hideo Shinada, it has been decided that actor Koki Yamashita will make an additional appearance at the award ceremony. On the day of the event, the final results will be announced, awards will be presented, and a talk session themed around 'vertical short videos' will be held. Following last year, freelance announcer Kasumi Mori will serve as the MC.

This competition is a project aimed at connecting creators who 'want to make a drama' with actors who 'want to appear in a drama' through a new form of vertical short video drama.

Furthermore, with the addition of new sponsoring companies, two additional category awards have been newly established: the 'Material Short Drama PR Award', given to works that show potential from a communication perspective by utilizing short dramas to convey the appeal of companies and brands, and the 'Show Tabi Award', given to works overflowing with love for local prefectures.

This year's nominated creators and works are currently available on the official website. The spotlighted creators, selected from thousands of entries submitted from all over the country, will gather at the award ceremony on May 27.
