Progress Inc. Implements 'B.Workflow' for B.LEAGUE to Strengthen Connections with Stakeholders

Progress Inc. (Headquarters: Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yuji Murofushi) is pleased to announce the implementation of 'B.Workflow,' a new workflow foundation for the league operated by the Japan Professional Basketball League (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Shinji Shimada; hereinafter 'B.LEAGUE'). This system integrates Progress's proprietary product 'acomo' with the communication tool 'Slack.'

We have revamped the workflow functionality as a mechanism to efficiently and effectively support connections with the many stakeholders involved in the league, including clubs.

Through the power of IT and DX, we will contribute to the promotion of sports and the development of local communities.

Background: B.LEAGUE emphasizes the improvement of competitive standards and cooperation with local regions to realize the philosophy of 'energizing Japan through basketball.' In this context, there was a need to develop a digital foundation to make league operations and team activities smoother.

We believe that in the sports industry, where 'experiences' are provided, it is crucial for many parties—including the league, clubs, sponsors, fans, arenas, and related partners—to work together. By centralizing information about these stakeholders, we aimed to develop a system that allows necessary information to be delivered proactively and efficiently at the right time, thereby 'creating connections, strengthening them, and expanding the circle.'

Recognizing the flexibility of our product 'acomo' as a workflow system and our execution capability in system development, we were officially entrusted with building the workflow foundation, and 'B.Workflow' has now been successfully implemented and launched.

By combining the communication tool (Slack), which realizes 'connecting with stakeholders,' with 'acomo,' a headless-designed, highly flexible platform that accelerates business efficiency, we have created a workflow system that is easy for users to navigate with a familiar UI and allows administrators to easily add workflows.
