Progress Co., Ltd. Introduces "B.Workflow" to B.LEAGUE, Aiming to "Strengthen Connections with Stakeholders"

Progress Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: 1-6-1 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yuji Murofushi) announces the introduction of "B.Workflow," a new workflow platform that combines Progress's proprietary product "acomo" with the communication tool "Slack," into the workflow system of the league operated by the Japan Professional Basketball League (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Shinji Shimada; hereinafter "B.LEAGUE").

The workflow functions have been revamped as a mechanism to efficiently and effectively support connections with many stakeholders involved in the league, including clubs.

We will contribute to the promotion of sports and the development of local communities through the power of IT and DX.

Background B.LEAGUE emphasizes improving athletic performance and collaborating with local communities to realize the overall philosophy of the basketball world, "Energize Japan with Basketball." Amidst this, there was a demand for the development of a digital infrastructure to facilitate smoother league operations and team activities.

At our company, we believe that in the sports industry, which provides "experiences," it is crucial for many stakeholders, including not only the league but also each club, sponsors, fans, arenas, and related cooperative companies, to work together to build basketball. By centrally managing information about these stakeholders, we can proactively and efficiently disseminate necessary information to stakeholders at the right time, aiming to "create connections with stakeholders, further strengthen those connections, and expand the circle." Our product "acomo" was evaluated for its flexibility as a workflow system, and our company's execution capabilities in system development were recognized, leading us to be officially entrusted with the construction of the workflow platform.
