Prodelia Partners Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kazuyuki Yoshizawa; hereinafter "the Company"), a PMM specialist consulting firm, has launched an annual training program for NEC Corporation (hereinafter "NEC") aimed at developing Product Marketing Manager (PMM) talent. Through systematic training utilizing PMM OSTM, the Company's proprietary intellectual property, NEC will foster PMMs who will play a central role in its company-wide value creation model, "BluStellar," and embed the reproducible "patterns" of their thinking and actions within the organization. The Company anticipates continued PMM talent development in the future.
Background of Support: Why are "Cross-Border PMMs" Necessary for Enterprises Now?
NEC is promoting a company-wide shift from conventional business models to more efficient and highly profitable "standardized businesses." The value creation model "BluStellar" is positioned as the core of the business strategy supporting this transformation. The success of this shift hinges on the ability to start from market and customer issues, envision and continuously refine value propositions as scenarios.
PMM (Product Marketing Manager) is one of the roles that plays a central part in creating and refining these scenarios. PMMs are "cross-border talents" who connect the market and business, transcending the boundaries of departments such as product, technology, sales, and marketing. Without individuals who possess such a cross-functional perspective – who can structurally grasp the market, customers, and business without being confined to a single specialized area, articulate value scenarios with evidence, and even delve into feasibility – large-scale business transformations cannot succeed in the market.
However, the role of PMM is relatively new, and the practical "patterns" for it are still not fully established. Differences in individual approaches to scenario creation and improvement can easily arise. To establish this function within the organization in a reproducible manner, collaboration with external experts possessing systematic methodologies and practical experience was deemed effective, leading to the request for our company's support.
Support Details: Annual Training Based on the Systematized Framework "PMM OSTM"
The Company will provide comprehensive support for NEC's PMM talent development through a systematic approach based on its proprietary PMM OSTM. PMM OSTM is the Company's unique methodology that structures PMM tasks, connecting products and markets, into seven operational layers. This framework has been incorporated into an annual training program, aiming to embed "thinking and action patterns" that can be reproduced in practice among participants, rather than merely transferring fragmented know-how.
This program will be conducted for over 30 selected PMMs, primarily within the BluStellar Scenario Management Department. It will run for 10 months, from June 2026 to March 2027, with one session per month for a total of 10 training sessions. The cycle will consist of five sets of alternating sessions: "input + exercises" held in person in even-numbered months, and "practical group work" conducted online in odd-numbered months. This approach aims to embed the learned framework by adapting it to practical work. By iterating between input and practice throughout the year, rather than a one-off training, knowledge will be reliably elevated to a "usable state."
The goals of development are set on both skill and mindset axes. On the skill axis, the aim is to acquire the "pattern" of structurally grasping the market, customers, and business, articulating scenarios with evidence, and delving into feasibility. On the mindset axis, the goal is to establish the "way of being" where individuals take pride in being PMMs, acting as stakeholders responsible for NEC's business transformation and the promotion of BluStellar.

PMMs for Enterprise Competitiveness
Products not selling, markets not reached, inability to differentiate from competitors. The root of these problems faced by many companies lies in the absence of a PMM function that connects the market and business. This is a structural issue that affects companies of all sizes, and it becomes more severe as businesses diversify and organizations become more complex, especially in enterprises.
In enterprises where multiple businesses, products, and technologies run in parallel, even excellent technologies and products cannot reach the market without a role that articulates them in the language of the market and bundles them into customer value scenarios. Therefore, PMMs as cross-border talents who connect the market and business across departments are crucial for the company's competitiveness itself.
Despite this, the role of PMM is still not widely recognized in Japan, and there is a significant shortage of personnel with specialized knowledge and methodologies for implementing this function within organizations. Our mission is to bridge this structural gap. Through the systematic methodology of PMM OSTM and hands-on consulting support, we aim to popularize the PMM function.
