Sapporo Prince Hotel Launches Limited Summer Afternoon Tea 'Sōkei' Inspired by Hokkaido's Iconic 'Blue' Scenery

Sapporo Prince Hotel (located at Minami 2-jo Nishi 11-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido; General Manager: Makoto Izumi) will launch a sky-high afternoon tea titled 'Sōkei (meaning 'Azure Scenery')' at its 'Sky Lounge Top of Prince,' which overlooks the city of Sapporo. The tea will be available from Wednesday, July 1, 2026, through Monday, August 31, 2026.

Hokkaido is home to many captivating shades of 'blue.'

This sky-high afternoon tea features desserts inspired by iconic Hokkaido landscapes, such as the Blue Pond in Biei, the sea of Shakotan, and the crystal-clear surface of Lake Mashū. It also incorporates local Hokkaido flavors like haskap berries and lavender.

The top tier includes four visually striking blue-gradient desserts, such as jellies and mousses inspired by the sea and lakes.

The middle tier features three refreshing desserts made with Hokkaido ingredients, while the bottom tier offers savory items such as canapés. A welcome drink of vibrant blue-green non-alcoholic cocktail will be served, enhancing the sensory experience.

Guests can enjoy an elegant tea time that captures the essence of a Hokkaido summer, all from the breathtaking 28th-floor view.
