Heatstroke Countermeasures at Golf Courses: A Cool Round Experience Even in Summer

Four facilities—Kuni Country Club, Musashigaoka Golf Course, Shin-Musashigaoka Golf Course, and Seibuen Golf Course—are strengthening heatstroke countermeasures to ensure golfers can enjoy the sport comfortably even in midsummer. In response to the growing number of golfers staying away from courses due to consecutive days of extreme heat, each facility is creating an environment where players can experience coolness. As a common initiative, all carts will be equipped with air conditioners that can blow cold air between 5°C and 26°C. Additionally, some golf courses will install air-conditioned 'cool spots' and 'ice dispensers.' Furthermore, before and after play, restaurants will offer 'chilled menus,' and cooling amenities will be introduced. Each golf course aims to create a unique summer round experience that allows players to enjoy the season while staying comfortable.
