Prince Grand Resort Karuizawa (Location: Karuizawa-machi, Nagano Prefecture; General Manager: Yuko Kageyama) is pleased to announce special initiatives for the 2026 rainy season, designed to help guests enjoy rainy days in a positive way.

The rainy season in the Kanto-Koshin region is expected to begin in early June 2026. Last year, the region saw an exceptionally early start on May 22nd, drawing attention to how to prepare for and spend time during the rainy season. However, Karuizawa remains cool and pleasant with beautiful fresh greenery, with an average maximum temperature of 23.8°C last June, approximately 5.5°C lower than central Tokyo.

To make the most of this season, Prince Grand Resort Karuizawa will offer limited-time hydrangea-themed lunches, an 'All-Weather Activity Pass' for indoor fun, and exclusive rainy-day workshops. Furthermore, we are introducing sustainable experiences, such as photo spots decorated with hydrangea made from recycled hotel bed linens and 'teru teru bozu' (rain-prevention dolls) created in collaboration with local social welfare facilities, proposing ways to enjoy the cool and comfortable rainy days.
