Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay and Suminoe Ward, Osaka City Sign Partnership Agreement for Regional Revitalization and Safe, Secure Community Development

Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay, located in Osaka City's Suminoe Ward (Nanko Kita 1-13-11), and Suminoe Ward (Mayor Hideaki Fujii) formalized a comprehensive partnership agreement on March 25, 2026. This collaboration aims to enhance regional revitalization and foster community development through strengthened mutual ties. Prior to this agreement, both parties had cooperated on initiatives such as designating the hotel as a tsunami evacuation facility, participating in local disaster drills, and conducting educational outreach programs for junior high school students. With the 2030 Osaka IR and post-Osaka-Kansai Expo developments in Yumeshima, IR, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) attracting attention to the Osaka Bay Area, the agreement seeks to integrate the resources and strengths of both entities. Key areas of cooperation include urban development, promotion of regional attractions, tourism promotion, strengthening disaster prevention measures, and fostering education and next-generation talent through industry-academia collaboration. Specific planned initiatives include continuing the hotel's role as a tsunami evacuation building, conducting joint disaster prevention drills, providing career education support for local students, and offering hotel work experience programs. The agreement is valid for one year from the signing date and will automatically renew unless otherwise notified. Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay, rebranded in July 2023, is a 28-story urban resort hotel with 432 rooms.
