Shinjuku Prince Hotel (Location: 1-30-1 Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; General Manager: Manabu Takeyuri) will collaborate with record shop Disk Union to implement a project themed around Showa and Heisei era Japanese music and record culture. During the period, we will offer a "Shinjuku Record Stay" accommodation plan where guests can enjoy records selected by Disk Union in their rooms, limited-time menus inspired by Showa and Heisei era coffee shop culture, and music events, providing a unique Shinjuku experience through the charm of Showa and Heisei music culture and records.
Shinjuku is a city where live houses, discos, and record shops gather, and various music cultures have been born in each era. Among them, Disk Union has supported Shinjuku's music culture while being popular with many music fans, operating numerous specialty stores in the Shinjuku area. Our hotel is also located at the entrance to Shinjuku Kabukicho and has evolved alongside the changes in the city.
This project focuses on Japanese music and record culture that has been loved by many people from the Showa to Heisei eras, offering content that allows guests to look back on Shinjuku's history through music and experience its unique charm. Shinjuku Prince Hotel will celebrate its 50th anniversary in March 2027. This project is being implemented as part of the initiatives leading up to this milestone. Through this project, we aim to communicate the appeal of "Shinjuku, the City of Music" as an experience and pass on the music culture nurtured alongside the city's history to the next generation.
