Prince Grand Resort Karuizawa (Location: Karuizawa, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano Prefecture, General Manager: Yuko Kageyama) will hold a special summer event at various facilities within the area from now until August 31, 2026, under the theme "First Sparkling Summer in Karuizawa! A Summer to Encounter the "First" in a Forest Where Life Sparkles."

This summer, we are offering a variety of experiences that take advantage of the cool natural environment at an altitude of approximately 1,000m, including the "Summer Creature Exploration Rally" where participants can challenge quizzes about forest creatures for the first time, the "Calpri Snow Land" where you can enjoy playing in the snow indoors during midsummer, as well as free research programs, stargazing events, and night lifts. Enjoy a special summer where you can encounter new "firsts" with your family and loved ones amidst the refreshing climate unique to the summer resort town of Karuizawa.

"First Sparkling Summer in Karuizawa!" Event Overview

"Summer Creature Exploration Rally"

Participants will solve quizzes about the "creatures" found in Karuizawa, set up within the rich natural grounds. Children who answer all questions will receive a "creature magnet" that they can color, exclusive to this event.

How to Participate: Take an answer sheet and pencil from the lobby, visit the four quiz stations set up inside and outside the facility, and bring your completed answer sheet to the Nature Kids Forest House.

Tree Trekking Zipline Adventure Cycling in the Forest

Nature Land Calpri Forest is a nature experience area within Prince Grand Resort Karuizawa. It is packed with activities for families to enjoy, such as ziplining, tree trekking, net adventure, Picchio Wild Safari Tour, lifts, and buggy rides.

Starting in July 2026, indoor activities allowing you to play in the snow during midsummer will be available.

Sunset & Night Sky Journey Lift

For 4 days only this summer, the Sky Journey Lift will operate at night. Enjoy a 10-minute aerial walk to the summit at an altitude of 1,155m. Events such as the "Stargazing Event" will be held at the summit.

Artificial Flowers x Big Flowers

A photo spot with the theme "Take Home Your "Me"" has appeared in the lobby of Karuizawa Prince Hotel West. Most of the items are made from recycled hotel bed sheets and construction scraps.

For summer, with sunflowers as the theme, we have created a space reminiscent of a picnic, with blue accent colors to evoke the sky, and motifs of straw hats and fruits.
