Shin Furano Prince Hotel (Location: Nakagoryo, Furano City, Hokkaido; General Manager: Yuji Iga) will undergo renovation work starting in May 2026, with the refurbishment of the "Main Banquet Hall" (buffet venue), the creation of a new outdoor terrace, and the completion of a new pathway leading from the accommodation building to "Furano Onsen Shisai no Yu" scheduled by late November 2026.

Shin Furano Prince Hotel is located in Furano City, central Hokkaido, surrounded by rich forests and magnificent mountains, in a location with diverse tourism resources that leverage the four seasons. "Prince Grand Resort Furano," centered around Shin Furano Prince Hotel, offers facilities such as Furano Ski Resort, Furano Golf Course, as well as "Ningle Terrace," "Soh's BAR," and "Le Gaulois Furano," where guests can enjoy dining and shopping in harmony with Furano's grand nature. By providing unique experiences available only in Furano throughout the year, the resort is working to enhance the appeal of the Furano area.

As a first step towards becoming a year-round resort chosen by domestic and international guests, this renovation aims to meet the diverse needs and usage scenarios of guests more than ever before. We will continue to improve comfort and convenience, as well as create new experiential value, striving to be a hub that showcases Furano's charm, where visitors can discover new things and feel comfortable every time they visit.

Key Renovation Points

① Renovation of the "Main Banquet Hall" (buffet venue) into an open and comfortable space with natural light

~Strengthening banquet hall functions and promoting tourism to Furano as an international city, with an eye on accepting MICE events~

- An opening will be created on the side of the Main Banquet Hall, located underground, to create an open space filled with natural light.

- The layout of the venue will be refreshed, including the installation of sofa seating overlooking the terrace and table seating for up to 16 people, to provide a more comfortable space than ever before, aiming to attract new demand such as MICE, weddings, and banquets.

② New spacious outdoor terrace where guests can feel Furano's grand nature

~Attracting "Après-ski" and "Night Economy" demand, and creating a new gathering place for local residents and non-staying guests~

- Equipped with table seating and a fire pit for enjoying bonfires, it caters to "Après-ski" for enriching time after skiing or snowboarding, and "Night Economy" demand for enhancing nighttime consumption experiences.

- Seasonal events such as stargazing, beer gardens, and BBQs will be held on the spacious terrace, providing an open gathering place for the community.

③ New pathway leading to "Furano Onsen Shisai no Yu"

~Promoting barrier-free access and improving convenience and comfort for a wide range of guests, from seniors to children~

- A new pathway will be built to connect guest rooms to "Furano Onsen Shisai no Yu" by the shortest route, reducing stairs for barrier-free access.

- By making one side of the new pathway glass-paneled, guests can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Furano while heading to the hot spring.

Overview of "Main Banquet Hall" Renovation

The "Main Banquet Hall" is the largest banquet hall at Shin Furano Prince Hotel, and it was a calm space located on the basement floor, also used as a buffet venue with over 50 dishes for breakfast and dinner.

With this renovation, an opening will be newly created on the wall to bring in natural light, and the layout of the venue will be refreshed, including the installation of sofa seating overlooking the terrace and table seating for up to 16 people, providing a brighter and more open space.

The "Main Banquet Hall," reborn as a more open and functional space compared to before, aims to improve the satisfaction of all users. By strengthening the banquet hall functions, we will promote tourism to Furano as an international city, which has recently attracted attention from international visitors, with an eye on accepting large international conferences such as MICE, as well as various demands such as weddings and banquets.

Overview of New Terrace

A spacious 30x14m outdoor terrace, adjacent to the Main Banquet Hall, will be newly constructed, where guests can feel the magnificent nature of Furano. The terrace and the front lobby will be connected by a grand staircase, allowing free movement, thereby providing a new gathering space that can be easily used not only by staying guests but also by local residents. Going forward, we will develop seasonal events such as stargazing parties, BBQs, and beer gardens utilizing this facility, aiming to create new demand rooted in the community and enhance the value of stays. Furthermore, this terrace will be equipped with a fire pit for enjoying bonfires and table seating, allowing guests to spend their time richly after skiing or snowboarding.
