Kawana Hotel Golf Course: 98th Anniversary Classic Open Competition on the Scenic Seaside Oshima Course, Celebrating 98 Years Since Opening, Featuring Retro Attire - Held on Thursday, June 18, 2026

Kawana Hotel (Location: 1459 Kawana, Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture; General Manager: Eri Wada) will host the 98th Anniversary Classic Open Competition at Kawana Hotel Golf Course Oshima Course, coinciding with its opening anniversary. The event will utilize wicker basket pins, which were in use when the course first opened, and will offer special participation prizes to those who attend in retro attire, such as knickerbockers. A wide variety of prizes will be available, including invitation tickets to Prince Hotel group golf courses and hotel accommodation vouchers, as well as original Kawana Hotel brand products.

While often overshadowed by the Fuji Course, which hosts tournaments and is selected among the world's top 100 golf courses, the Oshima Course is a popular scenic resort course. It allows for through-play with self-propelled carts on the fairway and can be enjoyed on a day trip without staying at the adjacent Kawana Hotel, making it easy to experience the atmosphere of Kawana Hotel Golf Course and the thrill of a seaside course.

Furthermore, as part of the opening anniversary WEEK, from Monday, June 15 to Sunday, June 21, 2026, when the commemorative competition will be held, wicker basket pins will be permanently installed on all 18 holes. We invite you to visit the Oshima Course during this special period.

[Number of Teams] 25 teams, 100 participants (Applications will close once the capacity is reached)

[Eligibility] Participation is open from 1 person (for applications of 3 or fewer players per group, groupings will be arranged)

[Time] OUT 8:00 A.M. to 10:48 A.M. start

[Fees] Oshima Club Member: \12,585, SPC Member: \15,885, General: \16,585

*The above fees include playing fee, participation fee (\1,000), consumption tax, golf course usage tax, G compensation fee, and golf promotion fund.
Lunch and locker fees (excluding members) are not included.

[Scoring Method] HDCP will be calculated using the New Peria method based on the first half's score (HDCP limit: unlimited)

[Prize Contents] A wide variety of prizes are available, including invitation tickets to Kawana Hotel and Kawana Hotel Golf Course, as well as invitation tickets to various Seibu Group hotels and golf courses, and original Kawana Hotel products. As a participation prize, 3 BS balls will be given at the front desk upon morning check-in.
