Yodo River Riverside Park Sketch Contest 2026

Yodo River Riverside Park will hold the 'Yodo River Riverside Park Sketch Contest 2026' with the theme 'Our Yodo River Riverside Park'.

This is the third year of the event. Last year, 21 works filled with the park's charm from spring to autumn were submitted, and 12 were selected. This year, we are seeking works filled with visitors' impressions of the park's scenery throughout the four seasons, its distinctive landscapes, and scenes of people enjoying the park.

Yodo River Riverside Park Sketch Contest 2026 Overview

Application Period: Monday, June 1, 2026 - Monday, November 30, 2026 (Must arrive by the deadline)

Application Divisions: Preschoolers, Elementary School Students, Junior High School Students, High School Students, General Public

Eligibility: Sketch paintings drawn within the operational areas of Yodo River Riverside Park, or sketch paintings that feature a portion of the operational areas as the subject.

(Artificial structures such as bridges and cultural assets are also acceptable, not just event scenes and nature.)

Application Regulations: Full size, 8-cut (393mm(380)x272(270)mm)

Usable art supplies include watercolor paints, crayons, oil pastels, colored pencils, pastels, poster colors, and water-based markers. Each person may submit up to one entry. Works must be original.

How to Apply: Mail to the Moriguchi Service Center listed below.

Please print the application form, fill in the required information, and attach it to the back of your artwork.

Submitted works will generally not be returned. If you wish for your work to be returned, please include postage for return shipping and an envelope when mailing. (Returns are scheduled for around December 2027).

Notes: Landscapes from restricted or prohibited entry areas are not allowed.

Awards (Planned): Yodo River Work Office Director's Award, Yodo River Riverside Park Management Center Director's Award, Judge's Special Award, Awards for Each Division, etc.

Award-winning works are scheduled to be exhibited at Sakura Deaikkan (around February 2027).

(Works must have been drawn on or after October 1, 2025, and must not have been previously published in other contests.)
