A Lavender Carpet Under the Summer Sky: Nepeta 'Walker's Low' in Full Bloom! (Takino Suzuran Hillside National Park)

At Takino Park, summer-blooming flowers are beginning to flourish. In particular, Nepeta 'Walker's Low' in the mid-slope area of the 'Flower Meadow' within the Country Garden zone has reached its peak bloom as of June 15 (Mon).

Also known as 'catmint,' this plant is characterized by its lavender (purple-blue) flowers that stand out beautifully against the summer sky, as well as its refreshing scent that can be enjoyed upon touch.

The blooming period is expected to last until late June.

Nothing says summer like river play! For easy river fun, head to 'Atsubetsu River.' To fully enjoy Takino's nature, we recommend the 'Forest Classroom' or 'Stream Plaza.'

Across the spacious park grounds, you can enjoy river play in various locations depending on your preferred style.

Cool Spots

Experience coolness with all five senses! Listen to the flowing sounds and feel the mist of natural waterfalls like Ashiribetsu Falls and Masuminomizu Falls, or enjoy dappled sunlight through the trees and the sounds of insects.

At Takino, rich in nature, you can fully experience 'coolness' throughout your body.

Cool Events

We are hosting a free-play water park event.

Free rental toys, including water guns, are provided, so you can play enthusiastically all day long.

The water park's activities are a surprise on the day—have fun to your heart's content under the summer sky!
