The "SPRING FESTA 2026 - Tulip and Rapeseed Festival" is currently underway until May 17, 2026, at the Horigane/Hotaka area of the Alps Azumino National Government Park in Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture. Visitors can enjoy the largest tulip fields in the Koshin region alongside the snow-capped Northern Alps.

The tulips, which bloomed about four days earlier than last year, are currently at their peak. This year's tulip fields feature 260,000 bulbs across 130 varieties—13 more than last year—including rare types like "Pichi Pichi Peach" and "Honoo no Koi." They are expected to remain in bloom until early May. A new photo spot featuring a face-cutout panel has also been installed at the "Pichi Pichi Peach" section.

The rapeseed fields in the Satoyama Culture Zone are also in full bloom. The vast 6-hectare field with 5 million rapeseed plants can be enjoyed until early May. Photo spots such as retro benches and bus stops have been set up for visitors to enjoy photography. There are also nostalgic desk and chair photo spots available.

Furthermore, this year features a new plantation of Nemophila at the Hotakaguchi gate. 32,000 Nemophila plants are in full bloom across a 2,000-square-meter flowerbed.

During Golden Week (GW), both tulips and rapeseeds will remain in bloom. Various events are scheduled from May 2 to May 6. Activities include the "Azumino Canoe Experience" and "Azumino Park Craft Marche" (May 2-6), a soap bubble show (May 2), and a petting zoo (May 3, 5, and 6).

Additionally, May 4 and May 10 during GW are free admission days.
