The government has set a policy to raise the energy-saving performance of new homes to ZEH standards by 2030 as part of its efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. The ZEH standard, an abbreviation for "Net Zero Energy House," is a concept for homes that aims to reduce annual primary energy consumption through high insulation and the introduction of high-efficiency equipment. ZEH standard homes meet certain criteria regarding external skin insulation performance and primary energy consumption, leading to a comfortable and energy-efficient living environment that is cool in summer and warm in winter. In housing, "external skin performance" such as roofs, ceilings, walls, floors, windows, and doors is a crucial factor. Homes with high external skin performance are less affected by outside air and can easily maintain indoor temperatures, leading to reduced heating and cooling loads.
