Yamanashi Prefecture is hosting a talk event titled 'Mount Fuji Is More Than Just the Summit!' on Saturday, June 13, featuring pro-hiker Masashi Saito (MASA) and the Fuji Mountain Rangers.

On the day, Mr. Saito, who has completed the Triple Crown of American long trails and participated in trail development plans around Mount Fuji, will join the Fuji Mountain Rangers—prefectural employees dedicated to patrolling the Fuji North Foothills, conserving the natural environment, managing illegal dumping, and guiding climber safety—to discuss the diverse charms of Mount Fuji and how to engage with its nature, beyond merely reaching the summit.

This event is part of the 'Ranger Photo Report 2026' exhibition, which showcases photos taken by the Fuji Mountain Rangers during their activities, highlighting the natural beauty and current status of environmental conservation in the Mount Fuji and North Foothills region.

Applications are now open for all interested participants.
