[Tentative Name] Announcement of the Yamanashi Charm Rediscovery Photo and Video Contest (Pre-announcement)

Yamanashi Prefecture (Governor: Kotaro Nagasaki) is advancing efforts to systematically organize and visualize diverse regional resources—such as the prefecture's nature, climate, history, people's lives and activities, and the industries and culture nurtured from them—as a "cultural terroir". This aims to reconstruct the unique value generated by the prefecture and express and share "Yamanashiness" in a concrete form.

In FY2026, we plan to hold a photo and video contest themed around "Yamanashiness" with the aim of widely promoting this "cultural terroir."

Therefore, ahead of the official start of applications (scheduled for July), we are announcing this in advance so that you can extensively shoot materials of spring and early summer as well.

Details such as the official application method, judging criteria, and prizes will be announced again after the contest operating company is decided.

Please note that entries meeting a certain standard in this contest are expected to be utilized in future prefectural promotions.

By materializing the "cultural terroir" from the perspective of the prefecture's residents and co-creating the future vision of Yamanashi, we will foster a regional identity by sharing "Yamanashiness".
