The Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Archaeology (Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Director: Ryusaburo Takahashi) will hold the Spring Special Exhibition 'Commemorating the Designation as a National Important Cultural Property: Andoji Ruins, Koshu City – A Large Jomon Period Village –' in 2026.
This exhibition commemorates the recent designation of pottery excavated from the Andoji Ruins in Koshu City as a National Important Cultural Property in 2025. The exhibition will showcase a variety of excavated materials, focusing on the newly designated pottery, and will clearly introduce the characteristics and appeal of the site. We hope many visitors will attend during this opportunity.

3. Content The Andoji Ruins in Koshu City are known as one of the foremost Jomon settlement sites in Yamanashi Prefecture. Its value has been re-evaluated in recent years, leading to the designation of excavated pottery as a National Important Cultural Property in 2025. This exhibition will display a wide range of excavated materials, centered on the newly designated pottery, to clearly present the characteristics and appeal of the site.
4. Admission Fee Free. (Permanent exhibition requires a separate fee: General/University Students ¥220).
5. Closed Every Monday (Open May 4th), May 7th (Thursday).
6. Related Events - Curator's Gallery Talk Curators will provide explanations while guiding visitors through the exhibition.
