Saitama Prefecture: Naming Rights Public Offering Decides New Nicknames for 4 Prefectural Pedestrian Bridges!

Saitama Prefecture has introduced naming rights for pedestrian bridges to secure new financial resources for the maintenance and management of road facilities such as pedestrian bridges. This time, through a public offering for naming rights, nicknames have been decided for four prefectural pedestrian bridges.

1. Hirosawahara Pedestrian Bridge (Wako City) Nickname: Kiwa Construction Industry Co., Ltd. Hirosawahara Pedestrian Bridge, fostering a safe future with the community Naming Rights Holder: Kiwa Construction Industry Co., Ltd. (Wako City) Contract Period: April 1, Reiwa 8 (2026) to March 31, Reiwa 13 (2031)

2. Shiroshita Pedestrian Bridge (Kawagoe City) Nickname: KAWAMOKU 150th Shiroshita Pedestrian Bridge, continuing to be an innovative long-established company Naming Rights Holder: Kawamoku Construction Co., Ltd. (Kawagoe City) Contract Period: April 1, Reiwa 8 (2026) to March 31, Reiwa 13 (2031)

3. Sugishita Pedestrian Bridge (Kawagoe City) Nickname: KAWAMOKU 150th Sugishita Pedestrian Bridge, realizing SDGs activities Naming Rights Holder: Kawamoku Construction Co., Ltd. (Kawagoe City) Contract Period: April 1, Reiwa 8 (2026) to March 31, Reiwa 13 (2031)

4. Sumiyoshi Pedestrian Bridge (Tokorozawa City) Nickname: Hiraiwa Construction Co., Ltd. Sumiyoshi Pedestrian Bridge, creating a city of smiles Naming Rights Holder: Hiraiwa Construction Co., Ltd. (Tokorozawa City) Contract Period: May 1, Reiwa 8 (2026) to March 31, Reiwa 13 (2031)

3. Nickname Display Status After the naming rights holder displays the nickname, it will be published on the Saitama Prefecture (Road Environment Division) website. https://www.pref.saitama.lg.jp/a1006/oshirase/hodoukyou_naming.html

4. Others Pedestrian bridges for which there have been no applications are currently being recruited at any time. For projects that have applied by the end of July, Reiwa 8 (2026), the use of the nickname is scheduled to start around October of the same year after the selection of the naming rights holder. For naming rights of pedestrian bridges other than those currently being recruited, please inquire individually.
