Over 160,000 Visitors in Two Months for 'Saga Kingdom Airport' and 'Kingdom Reading Breakwater'! 'Kingdom x Saga Prefecture' Project Extended Until September 30th!

Saga Prefecture has been conducting the 'Kingdom x Saga Prefecture' project since January 20, 2026, in collaboration with the hit manga 'Kingdom' (authored by Yasuhisa Hara, published by Shueisha), which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. This is part of the 'Saga Prize!' project, which aims to create 'new surprises' based on local goods and events. The collaboration included renaming Saga Airport to 'Saga Kingdom Airport,' interior decorations, the 'Saga Kingdom Airport Special Exhibition,' the 'Kingdom Reading Breakwater' where all pages from volumes 1 to 77 were displayed on a breakwater along the Ariake Sea, and campaigns at Furuyu Onsen. As a result, the project recorded approximately 160,000 participants over two months. Due to this popularity and numerous requests from fans and residents, the project will be extended until September 30, 2026. Future plans include new initiatives alongside the popular existing ones.
