Kanagawa Prefecture and the City of Yokohama to Co-host Entrepreneurship Training School!

Kanagawa Prefecture has been promoting initiatives to raise awareness about entrepreneurship and supporting aspiring entrepreneurs in order to foster promising venture companies. We are pleased to announce the launch of a joint program between the Prefecture and the City of Yokohama: an entrepreneurship training school called 'ACT!' aimed at students and working professionals interested in starting a business.

[Program Overview] 'Entrepreneurship Training School ACT!: 5-Day Action Plan Design Program'

Participants will engage in a five-day program designed to teach essential elements of starting a business, with the goal of creating an 'action plan' to turn their entrepreneurial vision into reality.

Event Schedule and Content

[Day 1: October 1, 2026 (Thu), 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM*]

• Formulate and articulate a hypothesis for your desired 'business plan'

[Day 2: October 15, 2026 (Thu), 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM*]

• Specify the 'people, materials, money, and time' needed to deliver value

[Day 3: October 29, 2026 (Thu), 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM*]

• Understand the 'model' of your target business and the business plan required for realization

[Day 4: November 12, 2026 (Thu), 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM*]

• Create an action list and schedule to accomplish necessary tasks

[Day 5: November 28, 2026 (Sat), 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM]

• Present your business plan and action plan

*From 9:30 PM to 10:00 PM is a networking session; participation is optional

Eligibility

Individuals interested in starting a business in Kanagawa Prefecture and who have a business idea (residents outside the prefecture are eligible if they are considering starting a business within Kanagawa)

30 participants (in case of excess applications, participants will be selected based on application content)

Collaboration with the City of Yokohama

• Participants in the entrepreneurship training school 'ACT!' may use the 'YOXO BOX'—Yokohama's next-generation entrepreneurship training hub—during the program period (continued use is possible after completion by completing membership registration).

• Participants will also be offered opportunities to validate their business ideas at events hosted by the Prefecture or the City.

• Additionally, participants will be introduced to stage-specific support programs such as the Prefecture's 'HATSU Entrepreneur Support Program' and Yokohama's next-generation entrepreneurship project 'YOXO NEXT,' with the Prefecture and City working together to support entrepreneurial success.

Kanagawa Prefecture supports venture companies at every stage—from pre- to post-startup—through its Kanagawa Model for venture support, 'HATSU-SHIN KANAGAWA.'

Through collaboration with Yokohama City's next-generation entrepreneurship project 'YOXO NEXT,' the Prefecture and City will strengthen support before and after business launch by leveraging each other's programs.
