Call for Entries: 68th Kanagawa Architecture Concours

Kanagawa Prefecture and 12 cities within the prefecture (specific administrative agencies conducting building inspections) are holding the Kanagawa Architecture Concours to improve the quality of buildings in the prefecture and promote safe, secure, and attractive urban development that is friendly to people and the environment. Eligible entries are buildings located in Kanagawa Prefecture that received a certificate of inspection based on the Building Standards Act or submitted a notification of completion of construction related to a change of use between June 1, 2024, and May 31, 2026. The competition has two categories: the Residential Category (detached houses, apartment complexes, housing estates) and the General Building Category (non-residential). Applications can be submitted by the building owner, designer, or contractor. The application period is from June 1 to June 16, 2026.
