Joint Bus Driving Experience and Employment Fair in Asahikawa to Be Held

Amid Japan's declining population and shrinking labor force, securing bus drivers to maintain regional transportation has become an urgent challenge.

To ensure the sustainability of essential bus routes for daily life and tourism, Asahikawa Electric Railway Co., Ltd., Hokkoku Bus Co., Ltd., and Furano Bus Co., Ltd. will jointly host a Bus Driving Experience and Employment Consultation Fair in collaboration with relevant organizations.

Saturday, June 27, 2026 (Reiwa 8)

Morning Session: 10:00–12:00
Afternoon Session: 13:00–15:00

2. Venue

Asahikawa Driver's License Examination Center (17-chome 2699-5 Konbun-cho, Asahikawa City)

3. Program

(1) Bus Driving Experience

Participants will operate a bus on the driving course within the license examination center.

(2) Individual Employment Consultations

Each of the three bus companies will set up individual booths where hiring managers will provide detailed explanations and answer questions.
