Implementation of the Okhotsk Regional Trial Internship for Local Revitalization Cooperation Squads

Recognizing the high interest in Hokkaido as a region for 'Local Revitalization Cooperation Squad' activities, with Hokkaido accounting for over 15% of the total squad members nationwide, we will conduct a wide-area internship to connect prospective members who are undecided on their work location with municipalities in the Okhotsk region. This initiative aims to improve recruitment matching and promote long-term residency in the region.

1. What is the Local Revitalization Cooperation Squad Regional Trial Internship?
This program utilizes the national government's 'Trial Internship' system on a regional scale. By visiting the Okhotsk region to participate in activities, experience squad tasks, and explore the towns, participants will get a feel for the atmosphere of the Okhotsk region as a whole, rather than focusing on a single town.

Tuesday, July 28, 2026 – Thursday, July 30, 2026

Saroma Town, Oketo Town, Kunneppu Town

4. Capacity, Participants, and Eligibility

4 people (Selected by the Okhotsk General Subprefectural Bureau if applications exceed capacity)

(3) Eligibility
- Individuals who meet the regional requirements for applying to the Local Revitalization Cooperation Squad
- Individuals considering applying to the Local Revitalization Cooperation Squad
- Individuals interested in community development and regional revitalization
- Individuals 18 or older (High school students are not eligible)
- Individuals with no restrictions on exercise or travel
