1,200 Spectators Thrilled by the 'Haniwa Mikoshi'! ~Gekidan Gunma-chan♪ Concert 2026~

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, the "Gekidan Gunma-chan♪ Concert 2026 ~Detective Gunma-chan~" was held at the Shoken Gakuen Maebashi Hall (Small Hall) in Maebashi City. This was the fifth installment of the "Gekidan Gunma-chan♪ Concert," a story-driven concert centering on children's songs.

In this installment, Gunma-chan becomes a "great detective" and works together with everyone in the venue to find a precious missing key. Children also participated as members of the "Gunma Detective Boys" through songs, dances, and quizzes. Two performances were held on the day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, welcoming approximately 1,200 guests.

■ A Stage Fusing Story and Concert

This performance was structured in two parts:

Part 1: Story Show

Part 2: Song and Dance Concert

In Part 1, Gunma-chan and friends are invited to the "Haniwa Festival." However, during a quarrel between Aoma and Miimi, an important "key" goes missing. The lost key opens the storehouse for the "Haniwa Mikoshi" (portable shrine). Without the mikoshi, the festival cannot take place.

This prompts Gunma-chan to transform into the "Great Detective Gunma-chan"! The children in the audience act as the "Gunma Detective Boys," searching for clues to the missing key. Singing and dancing to familiar Gunma-chan songs, and finding clues through quizzes and games, the story progresses with great excitement.

During the song "∞ Ribbon wo Gyutto ∞" (Tightly Tie the ∞ Ribbon), the hearts of Aoma and Miimi, who had grown apart from their fight, are tightly bound together again, further deepening the bond between Gunma-chan and friends.

■ Children Thrilled by the Giant "Haniwa Mikoshi"!

In the end, the storehouse doors are opened with the key Gunma-chan and the others found, and the "Haniwa Mikoshi" finally appears!

Suddenly, a mikoshi larger than an adult's height appears in the audience seating! It makes its way to the stage, moving among the spectators to chants of "Wasshoi! Wasshoi!" The children also wave the "original uchiwa" (paper fans) distributed to all attendees, sending energetic power to the "Haniwa Mikoshi," bringing the venue together in a unified climax.

■ The "Haniwa Festival" Finally Begins

In Part 2, the long-awaited "Haniwa Festival" finally kicks off.

As the curtain opens, the "Haniwa Mikoshi" descends from the stage into the audience. The mikoshi parades freely throughout the venue, hyping up the start of the festival.

There is a quiz to guess the animals invited to the festival. The song "Gu Choki Pa de Nani Tsukurou" (What Shall We Make with Rock, Scissors, Paper) plays as they enjoy festival food at the kitchen car plaza on stage. Eventually, night falls on the festival grounds, and Gunma-chan, the children in the audience, and everyone make a wish upon a shooting star: "May we all play together again!" In the end, everyone sings and dances to "Gu~! Gu~! Gunma-chan," and the concert concludes as a massive success.

■ Merchandise Sales Sold Out One After Another!

Concert-exclusive merchandise was sold in the lobby, and popular items like penlights sold out in the blink of an eye.

and other interactive events were held, keeping the lobby bustling with many guests even after the show ended.

- The story was incredibly good! The friendship of the three was wonderful!

- It was fun with a lot of elaborate details. I was also surprised by the amazing production of the Haniwa Mikoshi.

- It was very fun! My 1-year-old child watched it happily until the very end.

- It was easy to attend because it was baby-friendly and the tickets were reasonably priced. It was my child's first live performance, and they looked like they were having fun. It became a wonderful memory.
