Winery Introduction
A prestigious winery with Chile's No. 1 brand, "Santa Rita Estates"
Santa Rita is a historic winery established in 1880 by Domingo Fernández Concha in Alto Jahuel (Maipo Valley), a renowned wine region in Chile. It owns vast vineyards spanning approximately 3,900 hectares in Chile and Argentina, making it one of the largest in the world. Particularly, it boasts over 3,000 hectares within Chile alone, with vineyards in prestigious regions known as "Andes Grand Crus" such as Limarí, Alto Maipo, and Apalta.
Its flagship brand "Santa Rita 120" enjoys overwhelming popularity in Chile, and in the United States, the Sauvignon Blanc from this series holds the No. 1 sales record among South American wines, earning high acclaim worldwide.
Furthermore, the company is globally recognized for its environmental initiatives, having received the "Ethical Company of the Year" award for its international sustainable certification. Since 2014, it has been undertaking a large-scale project worth approximately 5 billion yen to replant vineyards, pursuing quality improvement by planting optimal grape varieties suited to each specific plot of land.
Currently, it exports to over 50 countries, offering a wide range of products from traditional iconic wines to innovative new ones. It is truly a representative Chilean winery, highly regarded in the fields of wine tourism and sustainability.
On the day of the event, we will fully introduce the charm and commitment of Santa Rita Estates. We will also offer two wines not yet imported to Japan, providing a time filled with Santa Rita's history, experience, and passion.
