We are pleased to announce that Satoshi Sorata, an employee of Polus Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture; Representative Director: Kojiro Nakauchi) of the Polus Group, has been recognized by Saitama Prefecture as a 'Sainokuni Youth Meister' for fiscal year 2025.

This selection as a 'Sainokuni Youth Meister' is based on his gold medal win in the 'Spreadsheet' category at the '45th National Abilympics (National Skills Competition for Persons with Disabilities, held October 17-19, 2025)' and his accurate execution of duties as an accounting staff member for the Polus Group, which is recognized as a model for other young skilled workers.

For the Polus Group, this is the first time a 'Sainokuni Youth Meister' has been selected from a field other than carpentry.

[About the Sainokuni Youth Meister Award] This is a system in which the Governor recognizes young skilled workers under the age of 30 who are employed or studying in Saitama Prefecture, possess excellent skills, and are recognized as models for other young skilled workers in their work performance and daily life.

[Selection Criteria for Candidates (Excerpt)] - Must be employed or studying in Saitama Prefecture and under 30 years old as of April 1 of the fiscal year of the award. - Must hold a Grade 1 or single-grade skill certification in a trade defined by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, or have been engaged in that trade for more than two years after passing a Grade 2 skill certification. - Must have participated as a member of the Saitama Prefecture team in the Skills Grand Prix, National Skills Competition, or National Abilympics in a trade defined by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, and achieved a gold, silver, or bronze medal.
