Polimill Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEOs: Ayame Ito and Nonoka Taniguchi), a leader in the social implementation of generative AI, conducted a two-day introductory training session for the municipal generative AI tool 'QommonsAI' for staff in Taka Town, Hyogo Prefecture, on March 17 and 18, 2026. ■ Training Overview Participating Municipality: Taka Town, Hyogo Prefecture Curriculum: Introductory Level (2 days, 4 sessions total) Participant Profile: About half have used generative AI on smartphones, etc. Only a few use it for work (one person about 3 days/week, 3-4 people about 1 day/week). Currently in the pre-full-scale implementation stage. Background: This training serves as the kickoff for the planned full-scale deployment across the entire government office following LGWAN compatibility in April. ■ A Start Mixed with Excitement and Anxiety Ahead of April's Full-Scale Rollout Taka Town plans to roll out QommonsAI across the entire office in April, coinciding with LGWAN compatibility, and this training was positioned as the starting point. While participants expressed anticipation, asking, 'How will our work change with generative AI?', there were also voices of anxiety, such as, 'I'm not good with computers, so I won't be able to handle it...' The first day was conducted in a group format with 3-5 people sharing one computer to encourage discussion. Based on requests from the department in charge, we focused on RAG (private knowledge) and file attachment features for staff primarily handling counter services. This was well-received, with comments like, 'It's March, so I can use this to create handover documents for transfers' and 'It seems easy to revise plans that I've been putting off!' On the second day, we added a workshop on creating greeting messages based on the feedback from the first day. By increasing the time spent actually interacting with QommonsAI, even staff who initially expressed anxiety began engaging in active discussions, saying things like, 'No, wouldn't it be better to do it this way?' and 'Since the AI says this, let's try inputting it.' When the greeting messages were completed, some remarked, 'If I could create such good text this quickly, I wish I had encountered this sooner.'
