From April 27, 2026 (Friday), a permanent exhibition for corporations and facilities will begin at COT-Lab® Shinbashi (Shinbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo, within the registered tangible cultural property "Hori Building"), one of Takenaka Corporation's innovation promotion bases. *Purpose of the "WI-COCOON ~ ART TREAT SPA ~" Permanent Exhibition* Since 2022, "WI-COCOON ~ ART TREAT SPA ~" has been offered to the general public as a limited-time experiential exhibition. This permanent exhibition aims to further evolve the experiential value and provide an "immersive experience that moisturizes the skin and mind" in a wider variety of spaces. Reset – Prepare – Upon entering the cocoon, you find yourself in a dimly lit space with soft light and a calming aroma. Sit on the comfortable bed in the center and take a deep breath. Wrapped in warmth, feeling the gentle sway, you gradually release daily emotions and return to your true self. 02. Awaken – Discovery, Awakening – While viewing images that travel through a colorful micro-world, you sharpen your senses. * Image is an illustration. 03. Expansion – Expansion – Guided by the visuals, you open one of the two boxes, [creative] or [zen], placed in the room. By touching the chosen "tactile meditation art," you sharpen the sensations obtained from your skin, evoking a mysterious full-body sensation. *Space Design* As a space that enhances the immersive art experience, combining skin-friendly and comfortable temperature and humidity, the design is inspired by the COCOON (cocoon) shape, while also evoking the image of a warmly enveloping womb. The organic-shaped framework inside the COCOON was designed using computational design. By constructing it with all differently shaped 3D printed joints and general-purpose 16Φ aluminum pipes, it aims to be a sustainable space that can be moved and reused repeatedly. *Effects of "26℃/75% Humidity" Environment on Skin* In joint research between POLA, which has skin analysis technology and a database, and the Technology Research Institute of Takenaka Corporation Group, which has knowledge of comfortable thermal environment evaluation, it was found that staying in a high-humidity space of "26℃/75%" for a certain period of time helps many people with dry skin concerns.
