POCKETALK Inc. (Headquarters: 7-1 Nihonbashi Kabutocho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Noriyuki Matsuda) has completed a third-party allotment of new shares with AGENDA Inc. (Headquarters: Sapporo, Hokkaido; President & CEO: Tomohiro Ito) as the subscriber. Following this capital increase, the company's post-investment valuation will be 31.24 billion yen.

AGENDA Inc. shares our mission of "eliminating language barriers" and has recognized the value in our new strategic products: the "countertop" AI simultaneous interpreter "POCKETALK X," the AI voice-to-text device "POCKETALK mimi 2," and "POCKETALK V," which displays conversations as real-time multilingual subtitles, transforming any display into a translator. They also acknowledged our efforts to strengthen our business foundation, including improving profitability in our overseas operations. This led to the current investment.

To date, POCKETALK Inc. has been addressing challenges in multilingual communication through its "POCKETALK" series of AI translators. With the increase in inbound tourism, the expansion of foreign workforce acceptance, the growing need for administrative and medical support for foreign residents, and the internationalization of corporate activities, multilingual support and information accessibility have become ongoing issues not only in tourism but also in the operations of companies, local governments, medical/welfare institutions, and educational institutions. The demand for corporate solutions related to language is expected to continue expanding.

We have achieved an annual profit improvement of approximately 300 million yen in our European operations and anticipate an improvement of over 600 million yen in our US operations. By strengthening our business foundation through improved profitability, and leveraging this investment, we will enhance the sales structure and implementation proposals for our new hardware product lineup, including "POCKETALK X." We aim to expand revenue opportunities, particularly in the corporate and public sectors, and increase our corporate value in the mid-to-long term by developing related services that address challenges in specific usage scenarios and investing in new products.
