'Pocket Change' Foreign Currency to E-Money Kiosk Installed at 'MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives', the New Museum Opening in Takanawa Gateway

This installation marks the 18th location within JR East Group facilities. At this notable new spot, we will provide a more accessible and user-friendly service for exchanging foreign currency into electronic money.

Six years after the station's opening in 2020, "Pocket Change," a service for exchanging foreign currency into electronic money, will be installed at "MoN Takanawa," a key facility in "Takanawa Gateway City," which is finally celebrating its grand opening.

The service will begin on the museum's opening day, Saturday, March 28th. While visiting the trending new spot, you can experience the convenience of instantly exchanging your foreign currency for e-money on the spot.

Pocket Change has deployed its services at various JR East Group spots, including major stations like Ueno and Omiya, and commercial facilities such as Atre and Perie. The introduction at "MoN Takanawa" marks the 18th installation within the group. Leveraging our solid track record, we aim to be an accessible service that many people can easily use in this newly created city.

Takanawa Gateway Station is in a prime location with easy access from Haneda Airport, connecting Japan to the rest of the world. In a wide range of scenarios, from business to tourism, you can change foreign currency into "e-money for daily use."

Pocket Change is a service that allows you to exchange foreign coins and banknotes for electronic money or gift codes. With just a few taps on the terminal, and with no pre-registration required, you can instantly exchange currency for a variety of services, including Suica and other transportation IC cards, Rakuten Edy, and Amazon Gift Cards.

Supported Currencies: 10 currencies in total, including Japanese Yen. Among them, 4 currencies (USD, EUR, CNY, KRW) also support coins.

Multilingual Support: Available in 5 languages: Japanese, English, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), and Korean.

Nationwide Presence: Kiosks are installed throughout Japan, from Hokkaido to Fukuoka, in airports, train stations, and commercial facilities.
