●What is Sketter?
"Sketter" is a regional mutual support platform released in 2019 with the aim of building a mutual support infrastructure for the Reiwa era, where local residents support welfare. Its greatest feature is that even those without experience or qualifications can be involved in welfare through their own abilities (excluding physical assistance).
Approximately 70% of registered users are inexperienced individuals who have never been involved in the care and welfare field before. Many users have a welfare mindset of "wanting to help the community," and the platform continues to increase related population from all industries.
Diverse generations of local human resources are involved, including students and young people in their teens to 30s, as well as active seniors in their 60s and 70s. It is uncovering a new latent interest group who "are interested but lacked the opportunity or means to get involved." Collaboration with high schools and universities is also accelerating.
Starting in February 2026, JAL will also partner with Sketter, allowing Sketter activity participants to earn miles.
