[South Korea Travel Survey] Approximately 50% Anxious Before Traveling, Faced Difficulties with "Communication," "Apps," and "Korean Language" On-Site

Travel to South Korea is gaining popularity as "the most accessible overseas destination" that can be reached from Japan in a short time. In recent years, in addition to gourmet food and shopping, travel for purposes such as cosmetic medicine, cosmetics, cafe hopping, and even K-POP related "oshi-katsu" (fan activities) has increased.

Therefore, this time, in collaboration with WiFi Travel, a company that provides WiFi rental services, we conducted a "Survey on Travelers to South Korea" targeting 400 men and women aged 20-59 nationwide who responded in a preliminary survey that they had "traveled to South Korea within the last 10 years."

This survey comprehensively analyzed "pre-travel anxiety," "on-site difficulties," "communication methods," and "the reality of insufficient preparation" related to travel to South Korea. It revealed risks that are often overlooked precisely because it is a "nearby overseas destination," and highlighted the importance of communication environments in modern overseas travel.
