Plenus Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ginza, Chuo-ku; President and CEO: Shiro Kaneko) operates 2,820 stores nationwide as of the end of June 2026, including "Hotto Motto" for takeaway bento boxes, "Yayoi-ken" for set meal restaurants, "MK Restaurant" for shabu-shabu and authentic dim sum, and "KAYAVA." for ramen.

As part of our initiative to pass on the appeal of Japanese rice culture to the next generation, we are promoting "Komeiku" (rice education).

We are pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting with a theme of "Okome" (rice) at the "Kodomo Washoku Session" to be held on August 1 (Sat) at Hattori Nutrition College (Tokyo).

This event is co-hosted by the National Congress of Washoku Culture and Hattori Nutrition College.

1. "Okome" Booth

Through quizzes based on exhibits about rice, participants will learn about the history of rice, which has supported the lives and culture of Japanese people, rice cultivation, and diverse rice culture.

Furthermore, by comparing four types of rice, participants will experience the diversity of rice flavors, including the different aromas, sweetness, and textures of each variety.
