●KokonQuartet Profile●

A string quartet composed of principal members of Watanabe Hiroshi STRINGS (Ale Art Office Co., Ltd.), featuring two violins, a viola, and a contrabass. They host and have received acclaim for their "Oto-Monogatari" (Sound Stories) which combines picture book readings with musical performances.

While traditional string quartets usually feature a cello for the lower register, this quartet employs a contrabass, which has an even lower range than a cello, to express a deeper worldview.

"Kokon" represents "cocoon" in German and "ancient and modern" in Japanese.
