Since around 2020, Adandou has been broadly involved in content-related activities, including event production and video production, centered on doujinshi editing. For the 2026 fiscal year, Adandou will adopt the theme of "connecting people." We aim to take our previous activities of "connecting people with 'moe' and 'stories'" a step further, and from now on, we also want to challenge ourselves in "creating spaces" where people and stories, and people and people, can naturally meet and form relationships.
Adandou's Activities to Date
Adandou has, until now, operated with the concept of "opening, rolling, connecting," primarily focusing on doujinshi and book editing that connects stories with people.
Through Adandou's book production and planning, we want authors to experience the joy of their stories rolling into unexpected distant places, as people and people, and people and stories connect, broadening their perspective of the world. With this desire, we have supported them in creating better "works."
In that process, we have witnessed numerous encounters born from these works.
Being present at miraculous moments where people connect directly, transcending the works themselves, at events and in communities, is one of the prides of Adandou's long-standing activity as a "doujinshi editor."
▲From the "Announcement of Logo Mark and Logotype Change" released on April 7, 2022.
▲We have exhibited at numerous doujinshi conventions on behalf of authors who are not good at sales, handing many works directly to readers.
▲We have released works to the world, regardless of whether they are original or derivative creations. (*These are works for which public disclosure is permitted. This is not a complete list of all works.)

Reconsidering the Work of Editing
What has become clear through these experiences is the essence of editing.
When readers encounter a work, the work is merely an entrance; beyond it, there is always the "person" who is the author.
Editing, in abstraction, might be about helping to ease the distance between people and create new encounters.

Specific Initiatives: Book Creation to Prevent Isolation
One initiative symbolizing this philosophy is the book "Raising a Child with Hearing Loss," scheduled for release on May 20, 2026.
This book systematically compiles what parents, immediately after their child is diagnosed with potential hearing loss, need to know first and how to proceed with parenting.
In Japan, information regarding parenting children with hearing loss has been fragmented across specialized fields. Parents have had to read through many specialized books and fragmented information themselves to find the necessary information.
It is particularly difficult to properly understand these in the anxiety and confusion immediately following a diagnosis.
Considering this situation, this book integrates expert knowledge and practical parenting skills, aiming to function as "the first book to read if you are told your child might have hearing loss."
Its production took approximately two years, and its content spans the perspectives of researchers, clinicians, and affected individuals.
It is structured around concrete methods that can be practiced at home, aiming to support parents so they can face parenting with peace of mind, without feeling isolated.
We sincerely hope that this book reaches someone who is feeling anxious alone, and becomes an opportunity for them to realize that "even if there is hearing loss in the family, one is never alone (isolated)."
Through this book, Adandou aims to help edit relationships, transcending the fragmentation of information and connecting "people with people" and "people's knowledge with practice."
"Raising a Child with Hearing Loss" will be released on May 20. Adandou was responsible for editing and design support.

Expanding Editorial Scope: Collaboration with Bookstore "Gaspard"
Adandou is currently involved in initiatives with the bookstore "Gaspard."
Unlike general comprehensive bookstores, Gaspard is a bookstore that selects novels, art books, and highly documentary books that stimulate imagination, with fantasy literature and science fiction (SF) as its core essence.
The appeal of this bookstore's concept lies in its being a place that offers "creative experiences," not merely selling books.
Furthermore, the bookstore name "Gaspard" means "bringer of treasure" or "bringer of good fortune." True to its name, I believe it is a wonderful store name, imbued with the wish to deliver a "treasure" or a "chance encounter" to visitors.
Adandou resonates with this philosophy and is assisting in bookstore creation from the perspective of "designing encounters" starting with books.
Picking up a book is not just consumption; it is about "someone's thoughts or val"
