FORTUNE GARDEN KYOTO, a bistro fine dining restaurant in Kyoto's Kawaramachi district housed in the historic former headquarters building of Shimadzu Corporation, will open its limited-time rooftop dining experience from Saturday, July 4, 2026, to Monday, August 24, 2026.

This year, we are delighted to offer special menus from 'Yakiniku Ushigoro,' the famed yakiniku restaurant that recently opened in Kyoto at the end of May, as well as 'KURO KYOTO,' the acclaimed Japanese cuisine restaurant curated by 'Kurogi' located within SODOH in Higashiyama, Kyoto.

Enjoy seasonal special menus paired with wine and frozen cocktails under the open summer night sky.

From 'Yakiniku Ushigoro,' known for its overwhelming 'meat power' using only the highest-grade A5 Japanese Black Wagyu beef, we will offer three specially selected dishes that highlight the rich, savory flavor of premium cuts.

'KURO KYOTO,' the flagship Japanese restaurant within SODOH in Higashiyama, Kyoto, curated by the renowned 'Kurogi' and opened last autumn, will present a vibrant summer-themed special menu designed for the rooftop. Enjoy exclusive dishes such as live lobster salad made with whole fresh lobsters and seasonal hamo katsu—available only here.
