Plan International, an international NGO (Location: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Chairperson: Kiyoko Ikegami; hereinafter referred to as "Plan"), is cooperating with the "Dialogue Forum to Consider Children's Safety and Future," held three times by IKOKO Aichi (Inochi, Karada, Kokoro Net Aichi / Representative: Kanako Ito) as part of the SRHR for JAPAN campaign.
The second session, "Education to Foster the Will to Live for Children ~ 'Life Safety Education' and 'Career Education' Discussed with Students ~," will be held on July 29, 2026 (Wed).
The second forum redefines career not as "choosing a future job" but as a continuous learning process that questions what roles we will play, with whom we will interact, and what values we will cherish in life. Instead of adults teaching children finished answers, we will create a space for adults and children alike, as beings "in the midst of their journey," to think together while sharing failures and insights.
In the morning, students will take the lead, proposing and discussing safety education, sex education, and human rights education they wish to learn, based on feedback from the first "Dialogue Forum Aichi to Protect Children's Lives and Futures." In the afternoon, starting with building a foundation for recognizing one's own feelings and listening to others (SEL / Social and Emotional Learning), students and adults will think together about future career education, using the stories of adults with diverse experiences as a guide.
We look forward to the participation of many of you in this forum, which is positioned as an entry point for dialogue where companies, in collaboration with education, government, and local communities, consider future human resources.

[Message from the Organizers]
Kanako Ito
Representative of IKOKO Aichi / Gynecologist / Director of Cocokara Women's Clinic
The society surrounding children is changing dramatically.
How to interact with SNS, build relationships with others, encounter diverse values.
While things have become more convenient, children are also facing various challenges and difficulties in living.
It is precisely because of this that I wanted to think together with children about "What is education that fosters the will to live?"
In the morning, "life safety education," and in the afternoon, "career education." Both are learning experiences for living life authentically while valuing oneself and respecting others.
Both adults and children are still on their journey.
I hope this will be a time not for teaching correct answers, but for everyone to talk, learn, and find their own next step.
Setsu Suzuki
Deputy Representative of IKOKO Aichi / Representative Director of femUniti Inc.
"How to live" is the question I most want to discuss at the second forum.
In the community of women entrepreneurs, we have continued economic activities based on gender equality and global sustainability. As we built companies, nurtured industries, and enriched our regions, we realized that what is most important is "living a rich life together with our peers." Therefore, we sincerely wish to build the future society together with young people as equals. Society also truly wants to be more involved in the learning and careers of young people. The foundation of that involvement is an approach to life based on life safety education. At the second forum, let's have a great discussion across generations about "how to live." Please look forward to it.
About IKOKO Aichi (Inochi, Karada, Kokoro Net Aichi)
IKOKO Aichi was launched in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture in 2026 as a network for dialogue and collaboration where medical, educational, welfare, corporate, citizen, and youth sectors work together to protect children's "lives, bodies, and minds." It fosters learning and dialogue spaces, across generations, that recognize the importance of sex education in leading to "life safety," "the will to live," and "children's rights." Children and adults alike, as beings on their journey, will think together about the power to live authentically.
