We believe this selection recognizes our system where the legal department is deeply involved from the conceptual stage of services and projects, and how it leads to actual service delivery and improved business value.

In collaboration with other departments, we have built a system that incorporates legal and security functions as part of the process from the conceptual stage of services and projects. By working alongside the business and development departments, both functions have realized a balance between reliability and speed even in advanced areas requiring high-level technical judgment.
2. Approach to Converting Regulatory Changes into Business Value
Rather than viewing changes in regulations regarding data privacy and AI merely as constraints, we have captured them as important opportunities to build trust with clients. Early detection of customer needs stemming from the tightening of cross-border transfer regulations under the revised Act on the Protection of Personal Information (enacted in 2022) contributed to the provision of a new plan, the 'Region Fixed Plan'.
3. Creation of Internal Rules for AI and Data Utilization
To maximize the innovative opportunities brought about by Generative AI, we have explicitly defined judgment criteria that allow on-site staff to utilize it safely without hesitation. Specifically, in collaboration with the security department, we established guidelines defining information handling classifications and application flows, accelerating company-wide AI utilization and the sophistication of organizational operations.
