PID Co., Ltd. Reasons why decarbonization efforts are not progressing
In recent years, as the importance of carbon neutrality in response to climate change has grown, more companies are working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. However, on the ground, challenges such as "not knowing where to start," "lack of specialized knowledge," and "inability to implement plans" are becoming apparent.
In particular, energy management in factories and facilities is complex, requiring accurate understanding of equipment and operational status to consider optimal measures. Traditionally, specialized consultants conducted on-site surveys, analysis, and proposals, but this was time-consuming and costly.
To solve these challenges, PID will develop "Cyanoba Zero AI." This concept is a next-generation platform that utilizes AI to consistently automate corporate CO2 emission reduction from "analysis, proposal, to execution." Overview of Cyanoba Zero AI
Cyanoba Zero AI will further evolve the AI energy-saving roadmap function announced in last year's April Dream, adding the capability for AI to automate the execution of reduction measures.
AI-equipped drones will patrol facilities, automatically collecting detailed data such as energy consumption, equipment status, and suitability for solar power generation. Based on this information, Cyanoba Zero AI will design optimal reduction measures and automatically execute energy control and equipment operation adjustments. This will enable companies to promote decarbonization without specialized knowledge and realistically aim for a future with zero greenhouse gas emissions.

The biggest feature of the Cyanoba Zero AI roadmap is that AI not only "proposes" but also "automatically executes" reduction measures. AI learns real-time energy usage data, equipment operation information, on-site temperature and humidity, and power supply and demand conditions, and instantly determines optimal energy operation. For example, during peak electricity demand, it optimizes the operation of air conditioning and production equipment to cut peaks and automatically adjusts inefficient operating conditions. Furthermore, on days with abundant solar power generation, it prioritizes the use of renewable energy and charges surplus power into storage facilities, implementing optimal control according to the situation.
In addition, based on information on temperature irregularities and heat loss points in facilities obtained from AI-equipped drones, it can automatically determine the timing for insulation renovation or equipment replacement and issue instructions to external systems as needed. By early detection of factors that reduce energy efficiency, such as clogged air conditioning filters or deterioration, and automatically improving operations, efficient reductions can be continued while minimizing human effort.
In this way, the mechanism where AI "thinks," "judges," and "executes" enables companies to achieve advanced energy-saving operations without relying on specialized knowledge or human resources. With reduction measures autonomously optimized daily, efforts toward zero greenhouse gas emissions can be sustained and reliably advanced.
