Le Mans, May 10, 2026 – The weekend at the Le Mans Bugatti Circuit concluded with a historic result for Aprilia Racing, as Aprilia achieved its first-ever podium sweep in MotoGP.

Jorge Martin, starting from 7th on the grid, made an astonishing comeback to secure his first victory with Aprilia Racing, marking 588 days since his last MotoGP win (Mandalika 2024). Martin replicated his 2024 Le Mans performance by achieving a double win in both the sprint race and the main race this weekend.

Marco Bezzecchi secured a solid and intelligent second place, achieving a 1-2 finish for the Aprilia factory team. This marks Bezzecchi's fifth consecutive podium finish since the start of the season, a feat not seen since Valentino Rossi in 2015.

Ai Ogura, a rider for the Trackhouse MotoGP team, also delivered an impressive performance, brilliantly finishing third in the main race, completing Aprilia's historic podium sweep.

This is Aprilia Racing's first podium sweep in MotoGP, the fourth time the factory team has placed two riders on the podium in the premier class (Monmelo 2023, Goiania 2026, COTA 2026), and its seventh consecutive podium finish in the premier class.

Jorge Martin:
"I'm really happy. I didn't think I could fight for the win at first, but I never gave up. Aprilia is providing me with what I need, and my confidence is growing every day. It's important to continue working in this direction to grow further."

Marco Bezzecchi:
"It was a good weekend overall, even though there were some difficulties. I'm satisfied because I got a front-row start in qualifying and a podium finish in both the sprint and main races. I tried to stay focused and avoid mistakes. I thought I gave my all, but Jorge seemed to be slightly ahead."

Massimo Rivola (Aprilia Racing CEO):
"It's a historic day, the first time three Aprilia machines have swept the MotoGP podium. Jorge's powerful ride was particularly emotional. It's also wonderful that Marco showed such competitiveness and maturity. And Ai's podium, especially after what happened in Austin, brought great relief. The racing department in Noale has done an amazing job, and I believe this is a well-deserved recognition for the team led by Fabiano Sterlacchini."

Ai Ogura:
"The race was really great, and we were blessed with good weather. My start wasn't very good, but I think overtaking a few riders in the first two or three corners was the key point. The early part of the race wasn't easy, but the bike felt better in the middle of the race, and I was able to pass many riders. I'm very satisfied. I didn't expect Acosta to fall back so much, and I had a good pace towards the end of the race. It was unexpected, but truly great."
