Phil Company Group Hosts Special Exchange Meeting with Winners of Student Contest 'ReWrite2025'

Phil Company Group (Core company: Phil Company, Inc.; CEO: Shingo Toyama; Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo), which operates under the purpose of "Filling gaps in the town with creation," sponsored the 'ReWrite2025' student challenge contest held in December 2025 (Organizer: AYWD Inc.; CEO: Tetsu Sasahara; Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo).

Following the participation of the group's Chairman, Takahashi, as a contest judge, the company invited the two teams that won the 'Phil Company Award' for their outstanding proposals to its office for a 'Special Exchange Meeting.'

We would like to report on this initiative, where we exchanged active ideas for future community development by fusing our group's know-how in unused land utilization with the students' new ideas for filling the 'gaps of time.'

■ Background of Sponsorship: From physical 'place' to 'time' gaps

Since its founding, the group has found value in 'land that is difficult to utilize (gaps in space),' such as the space above parking lots or narrow plots, and has illuminated communities with vitality. However, contemporary issues regarding unused land are not limited to physical spaces.
For the 'Saitama Stadium 2002,' the largest football-specific stadium in Japan, the utilization of 'idle time (gaps of time)' when no matches are held has become a major issue. Attempting to fill these 'gaps of time' of giant public assets with student creativity and redefining regional value is exactly the embodiment of our corporate purpose.

From 'space' to 'time.' To support the next generation of leaders who turn gaps into value and think about future community building together, we decided to sponsor the contest and have Chairman Takahashi serve as a judge.

■ About 'ReWrite2025': Nurturing youth who create regions

In the contest held in December 2025, approximately 14 groups nationwide proposed models for 'towns where sports and communities co-create,' based on real data such as stadium revenue and expenditure. During the two-day program involving 12 presentations, the judging panel led by Chairman Takahashi provided feedback from a management perspective, focusing on 'feasibility' and 'sustainability of profitability.'

■ Special Exchange Meeting: Exchanging ideas for the future of community building

We invited members of the 'Student International Cooperation Group SIVIO Tokai Branch (Tokai SIVIO)' and 'NGO ALPHA,' who won the 'Phil Company Award,' to our office for the meeting.
This meeting was planned to give our employees a chance to gain flexible insights from the enthusiasm of students tackling regional issues, while allowing students to experience the 'difficulty and joy of refining concepts into business.' On the day, there was a passionate exchange of views on future community building, combining our employees' expertise with the students' creative ideas.

■ About the winning student groups
Tokai SIVIO:
A university student organization aiming for education support for Laos and creating a charity movement among students. Established in 2007, it currently operates nationwide with bases in Kanto, Kansai, and Tokai.

NGO ALPHA:
A student NGO officially recognized by Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, established in 2009. Under the philosophy of 'Everybody smile!!', students from various universities gather to provide educational support to the Philippines.
