### Brief History of the Organization **[Origin]** The Christian "Prison Fellowship" was established on September 29, 1981, founded by Mr. Lu Kuo-tung, a retired senior prison warden.

**[Current Status]** Since 1988, Mr. Huang Ming-chen has been appointed by the Board of Directors as the General Secretary to lead the fellowship. There are currently 17 district branches, 106 co-workers and resident prison ministers, and hundreds of volunteers involved. In 1993, it joined Prison Fellowship International (PFI), and since 2004, it has participated in the British international ALPHA course organization, actively leading people to salvation in the Lord.

### Key Ministries

#### 01 Halfway House The Halfway House is a place of refuge, an intermediate station for rehabilitated individuals stepping into society; the Halfway House of the Prison Fellowship serves not only as a bridge for them to return to society by providing vocational guidance and professional training, but more importantly, it hopes to let them truly "be reborn," break past their old selves, and walk out of the Halfway House with their heads held high.

#### 02 Angel Tree Ministry The Angel Tree ministry is very important. The target of the Angel Tree's service is this group of children whose families have lost their function. Through the Angel Tree ministry, we can support them, restore healthy family functions, and help them find value in life at the right time. This is such a crucial ministry. I especially appeal to our brothers and sisters here, may God lead and bless you all! (Former Premier Chang Chun-hsiung)

#### 03 Victim Care Due to long-term care for inmates and their families nationwide, we found that caring for crime victims is equally important. Just as caring for inmates helps them change their lives and re-establish themselves in society, we also have the responsibility to help crime victims stand up from their pain and receive physical and spiritual healing. We further hope that the two parties—victims and inmates—can reconcile and together build a peaceful and prosperous society through one party's confession and compensation, and the other's forgiveness and acceptance.
