According to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's occupational information provision site (job tag), the national average age of groomers is 43.4 years. In comparison, the demographic securing jobs via agents is over 10 years younger than the national average, suggesting that highly aware individuals in the market are taking action. It is evident that younger groomers are prioritizing the 'quality of work' with an eye toward the future, rather than just a simple 'love for animals.' Furthermore, against a backdrop where many companies and facilities seek motivated youths as next-generation leadership candidates, younger groomers increasingly aim to start their careers at 'veterinary medical sites' equipped with solid benefits and training systems. Looking at the breakdown by age group, the '25-29' tier was the most populous, accounting for over 40% of the total. This demonstrates that a generation with a few years of practical experience, who wish to have their 'skills valued more highly' and 'place themselves in a stable environment,' are actively taking action. Meanwhile, the fact that the combined demographic of seasoned professionals in their 40s and 50s+ reaches approximately 17% cannot be overlooked. Particularly, the reality that those 55 and older successfully transition jobs at higher rates than groups in their late 30s to 40s illustrates that 'experience' serves as a formidable weapon in the highly technical grooming industry.

'Ideal working styles' divided by generation. About 75% of those in their 20s select full-time, while 88% of those 50 and older choose part-time.
