Pestalozzi Technology Inc. ■ Background of Implementation
Considering physical fitness checks as a "new initiative for health management."
It was difficult to connect improvements in health checkup figures directly to behavioral changes among employees, and there were few opportunities for employees to grasp their own physical fitness status. Therefore, physical fitness checks were implemented as part of an initiative to create opportunities to raise health awareness.

■ Overview of Implementation
・Number of users: 30-40 people
・Content: Physical fitness check (grip strength / seated forward bend / sit-ups / side-to-side jumps / standing long jump) + seminar
・Location: In-company space

● Flow on the day
From physical fitness check to feedback, everything was completed on the spot. A mini-seminar was also held after the physical fitness check.
Pestalozzi staff visited as measurement support personnel for the physical fitness check and measured 5 items: grip strength, seated forward bend, side-to-side jumps, sit-ups, and standing long jump. The time required per participant was approximately 10 minutes.
Since these were familiar exercises from school days, participants of a wide range of ages and fitness levels could easily participate, even without a habit of sports or exercise.
After the physical fitness check, the results were immediately entered into the ALPHA for Biz web app, and individual physical fitness deviation scores were provided as feedback on the app. The visualization of physical fitness in numerical form drew participants' interest and motivation, serving as a good catalyst.

● Results of Participant Survey
In the survey conducted after the event, participants gave very high evaluations.
In addition to the 70% who responded, "I thought I should start exercising," the remaining 30% also gave positive responses such as, "I thought I should continue or increase the frequency of my usual exercise habits."

■ What is ALPHA for Biz?
ALPHA for Biz is a service that supports health management initiatives and accident prevention by visualizing employees' health and physical fitness challenges with data, thereby raising their mindset towards health and exercise.
In the guidelines announced by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare on February 10, Reiwa 8 (applicable from April 1 of the same year), it is stated that continuous physical fitness checks are desirable for preventing occupational accidents among older workers, and since physical decline is not limited to older workers, it is recommended to start from younger age groups. This service is being developed for companies considering investment in employee accident prevention and health amidst labor shortages.
