Promoting the Utilization of Side-Job and Freelance Talent at Toyama Prefecture Companies for Third Consecutive Year

HiPro Direct, a side-job and freelance talent matching platform service by Persol Career Co., Ltd., has been entrusted with Toyama Prefecture's "Matching Networking Event Project between Companies in Toyama Prefecture and Side-job/Concurrent Workers."

Under this year's commissioned project, we will hold the "Matching Networking Event 2026 between Companies in Toyama Prefecture and Side-job/Concurrent Workers" three times annually, further strengthening opportunities for talent-business matching. The first event will be held online starting at 18:00 on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 (free of charge).

About Toyama Prefecture's "Matching Networking Event Project between Companies in Toyama Prefecture and Side-job/Concurrent Workers"

The "Matching Networking Event Project between Companies in Toyama Prefecture and Side-job/Concurrent Workers," implemented by Toyama Prefecture and the Toyama Prefecture Professional Talent Strategy Headquarters, aims to promote the utilization of side-job and concurrent workers among local companies to solve corporate challenges and enhance competitiveness. By spreading the positive effects of such initiatives, the project also seeks to invigorate the regional economy. Our service "HiPro Direct" has been selected to lead this initiative for the third consecutive year since fiscal year 2024.

Supporting the utilization of side-job and concurrent workers through dedicated web pages and sharing expertise via events

Last year, to advance this project, we launched a dedicated special page for Toyama Prefecture on "HiPro Direct for Local," a platform spotlighting side-job opportunities tailored for regional enterprises. Additionally, we hosted three matching networking events aimed at disseminating information about utilizing side-job and concurrent workers. As a result, 451 side-job and freelance professionals participated, engaging with 21 local companies and achieving 13 successful matches.

This year, we will again host three events titled "Matching Networking Event 2026 between Companies in Toyama Prefecture and Side-job/Concurrent Workers" to further expand matching opportunities. These events will include online discussion sessions where side-job and concurrent workers interact directly with companies to address specific business challenges, along with pre-arranged online screening sessions for talent who have applied to specific projects.

Through these initiatives, we aim to support effective matching between individuals wishing to contribute their skills to the local community and companies seeking external talent to solve pressing issues, thereby contributing to regional economic revitalization.
