Presentation Summary: Today's cyberattacks are characterized by a diversifying attack surface, business disruptions caused by ransomware, and the discovery of unknown vulnerabilities through AI. In this era of ever-increasing new threats, security risks show no signs of abating. In such a highly complex cyber environment, and in a business landscape where anyone can become a victim, it is now an urgent issue to consider the security measures necessary to maintain corporate and business activities from a "business management perspective." This session will examine data encryption from two perspectives: 1 the significance of data security for businesses and operational departments, and 2 the implementation challenges of encryption, which is a fundamental data protection measure for IT professionals. We will also present case studies from South Korea, where personal information data encryption is legally mandated.
