Powder Room, one of Korea's largest beauty media platforms, successfully held its second 'J-Beauty Fan Meetup' on March 21.
The 'J-Beauty Fan Meetup' is an offline program designed to introduce beauty brands that have gained high recognition and trust in Japan to Korean consumers, expanding the touchpoints between brands and consumers through product experiences and on-site communication.
This event was curated around popular products currently attracting attention in Japanese drugstores and variety shops, and was planned as an opportunity for Korean consumers with a high interest in Japanese beauty to experience these locally popular items firsthand.
Participating in this event were CHOI and Healmild Light, both of which showcased their signature products that continue to receive support in the Japanese market.
CHOI's face masks are intensive care products that can be selected based on specific skin concerns, featuring a lineup specialized for acne care as well as pore and skin texture refinement.
Healmild Light's lotion is a daily moisturizing item that combines a lightweight feel with stable hydration, earning high praise for being gentle enough for use on sensitive skin.
Event participants confirmed the appeal of the products by experiencing them directly on-site, focusing on points that can be felt during actual use, such as texture, absorption, feel, and long-lasting moisture. Many positive reactions were observed at the venue, such as "It's low-irritation and easy to use daily" and "It's impressive that it feels light yet provides long-lasting hydration."
This fan meetup went beyond a simple exhibition; it was operated in a format where brand representatives directly introduced and demonstrated the products, and consumers experienced them on the spot. Participants actively engaged in two-way communication with the brands, resolving questions about the products on the spot and providing immediate feedback on their impressions after use.
In particular, the moisturizing feel of the face masks, changes in skin condition after use, and the absorption and long-lasting hydration of the lotion were cited as key points of interest.
Through this fan meetup, the participating brands were able to directly observe the actual usage experiences and reactions of Korean consumers on-site, providing an opportunity to gain practical insights that can be utilized for market entry and the development of marketing strategies for the Korean market.
A representative from Powder Room stated, "This J-Beauty Fan Meetup served as a valuable opportunity for Korean consumers to directly experience products with proven track records in Japan, and for the brands to confirm consumer reactions on-site," adding, "We plan to continue developing various programs that connect brands and consumers in the future."
